Ministry of Equality of Spain joins the Grupo de Puebla one year after its constitution

In the days before the first anniversary of the Grupo de Puebla, equality Minister Irene Montero joined the Ibero-American forum.

This Saturday, the Grupo de Puebla announced the incorporation of the Spanish Minister, strengthening the integration of the group with European politics.

With the arrival of Minister Montero to the Puebla Group, the forum reaches 45 political leaders from 14 different countries.

The Equality Minister, Irene Montero, has a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She is one of the founders of the Podemos Political Party in Spain – a member of the government alliance of President Sánchez-.

She has been elected Deputy in the XI, XII, XIII, and XIV legislatures of Spain’s Congress of Deputies. Earlier this year, she was appointed as Minister of Equality by President Pedro Sánchez.

The group currently has its members in Chile, Perú, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Brazil. the Dominican Republic, Panama, Mexico, Spain, Ecuador and El Salvador.
